Update on 2020 Officiating Clinics

Planning is underway for 2020 Clinics. With the uncertainty around this upcoming hockey season, we are waiting until more is known about hockey this year and how it will look before final details are announced.

Here is what we know:
  • Clinics will not begin before October 15th. We will have an update by September 15th on a schedule. Officials registered for 2019-20 will be eligible to officiate until December 31, 2020.
  • Clinics will be on-line, with Zoom.
  • Clinics will be abbreviated, approximately 1 hour, for Levels 3,4,5 and 6, updating new rules and emaphasis for this season.
  • Clinics will be slightly longer for Levels 1 and 2 (approximately 2.5 hours), covering additional material on the rule book, procedures and positioning.
  • There will be offerings for clinics at a variety of times, including weeknights and various times on weekends. They will be offered by level (Level 1 clinics, Level 2 clincs, etc.).
  • Regstration fees will be drastically reduced for this season - $50 for Level 1s and 2s, $75 for Level 3s, 4s, 5s, and 6s.

Keep checking the HNS website under "Officials" and "Clinics" for updates.
