The HNSOP is heartbroken to hear the news that one of our families is dealing with the greatest of losses.   Our sincere condolences go to Peter and Lynn MacDonald on the loss on their son, Capt. Brenden Ian MacDonald, in this week's crash of the Canadian Forces CH-148 Cyclone helicopter off the coast of Greece.

Peter is a long-time official and former Level 6 in the Branch.
He continues to work as a clinic instructor and game supervisor contributing countless hours to the program and hockey in this province.

Lynn served many years as a clinic administrator for the officiating program.  She worked countless hours coordinating clinics over the years making sure registration and logistics were organized and implemented.

Brenden, along with Peter and Lynn's two other children, Megan and Evan, are all members of the Canadian Armed Forces. We are mourning with them today.
