Gord Dwyer's 1000th Game

The HNSOP wishes to congratulate our own Gord Dwyer on the occasion of refereeing his 1000th regular season NHL game on Saturday when he worked the Nashville @ Dallas game at the American Airlines Arena, alongside Nova Scotia's other NHL referee, Jon McIsaac. Gord grew up in Lower Sackville and worked his way up through the officiating ranks in the branch before moving on to the QMJHL and then to the US to pursue a professional career.

Gord has recently worked such events as the 2016 World Cup of Hockey and the 2019 Stanley Cup Finals, when he was selected to work Game 7 between St. Louis and Boston. We are extremely proud of Gord and his accomplishments. You can watch the pregame ceremony at the following link:
