On ice officials and Zamboni's

 

I have just fielded several complaints of on ice officials going onto the ice surface before the zamboni has left the ice.  I want to reiterate that this process is unacceptable and is to stop immediately. 

Our job as officials, is to make the game safe and fun.  What kind of example are we setting entering on the ice before the zamboni is off, when we as officials are tasked to keep all players and staff off of the ice until the zamboni doors are closed.  

This is a friendly reminder that no one is to enter onto the ice surface until the zamboni has exited and the doors are closed.
